What's so important About the Soil?

Hi everyone, Happy Spring, time to think about the soil.

Ever wonder what is so important about the soil when it comes to
organic gardening?

Here is a quick break down of the facts.....Plants get water, air and nutrients from the soil.

Plants get the majority of nutrients from the soil they grow in.
The importance of quality soil cannot be ignored if healthy plants are the goal.
Simply put plants grow better in fantastic soil!

Clay soil = high  nutrients, but can be wet and plants can’t get enough air.

Sandy soil = low nutrients, but well drained.

How do you get great soil?
Adding organic matter to soil as a top dressing across all garden beds in Spring improves soil texture and adds nutrients to the soil and helps create the optimum conditions for plant growth.

Consider adding a adding a liquid compost tea application to your garden this year and invest in enhancing your soil quality so you will have great gardening results... ask us about our home brewed compost tea that we are making this year!
