Holiday Bird Count!

Our December visitor!
We got a response back from Project FeederWatch
Cornell Lab of Ornithology on the guest we had visit our feeder earlier this month.

'Thank you for the report and photo of your Northern Bobwhite. Unfortunately, wild populations of this species continue to dwindle. They are raised and released for hunting purposes, however, and most of the quail that we see in northern states are birds that have been intentionally released. They sure are beautiful, interesting creatures.'
